The times above are television coverage windows, not tee times. Those are two different things, and it is worth being precise about the difference. Play generally begins within a few minutes of the broadcast opening, but the official session tee times come from the venue rather than the broadcaster.
Friday and Saturday each carry two sessions. Four foursomes matches go out in the morning and four fourball matches in the afternoon, with eight players from each team involved in each session. Sunday is given over entirely to the 12 singles, which is why the coverage window is shorter but the day matters more.
What Time Does the Solheim Cup Start Today?
On Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September, the first matches are expected to go out at approximately 7:30 AM CEST. That is 6:30 AM BST, 1:30 AM ET and 10:30 PM PT the previous evening.
On Sunday 13 September the singles begin later. Coverage opens at 11:00 AM CEST, which is 10:00 AM BST, 5:00 AM ET and 2:00 AM PT, making the deciding session the most watchable of the three for viewers in the United States.
Bernardus Golf currently lists exact session tee times as still to follow. Confirmed times are published alongside the Friday pairings after Thursday’s opening ceremony, and this section is updated each morning of the competition as soon as the day’s times are official.

Bernardus becomes the first course to stage both the Solheim Cup and the PING Junior Solheim Cup in the same year. The junior event runs on the Monday and Tuesday, which makes the early part of the week worth attending in its own right rather than just a practice-round formality.
Thursday is the pivot. The opening ceremony is followed by the release of the Friday foursomes draw, and that is the moment the week stops being anticipation and starts being a golf tournament.
How the Solheim Cup Format Works
Twenty-eight matches, each worth one point, with half a point to each side for a halved match.
- Foursomes (alternate shot): two players share one ball and hit alternate shots. Four matches on Friday morning and four on Saturday morning.
- Fourball (better ball): both players in a pair play their own ball and the better score counts on each hole. Four matches on Friday afternoon and four on Saturday afternoon.
- Singles: one against one over 18 holes. All 12 players from each team play on Sunday.
Eight players from each side feature in each of the four team sessions, so captains rotate four players out each time. That rotation is where a captain’s depth either helps or hurts, and it is the reason bench strength matters as much as star quality.
How many points are needed to win
Fourteen and a half points out of 28 wins the Cup outright. The important detail in 2026 is what happens at 14-14.
The United States are the holders, having won 15.5 to 12.5 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in 2024. A tied match therefore leaves the trophy with the Americans. Europe need 14.5 points to take it back, while the United States need only 14 to keep it.
That is the reverse of the situation in 2023, when Europe went in as holders and retained the Cup on a 14-14 tie at Finca Cortesin. The half point is worth a great deal more to one side than the other, and it will shape how both captains order their singles on Sunday.

Sky Sports has been the exclusive UK and Ireland home of the Solheim Cup since 1996 and extended that deal through 2030, so the 2026, 2028 and 2030 matches are all on Sky.
