This is the 20th Solheim Cup and the first in the Netherlands. The United States have won three of their nine previous trips to Europe, in 1996, 2007 and 2015.

The top match is the headline. Korda and Corpuz have won all four foursomes they have played together, while Nordqvist pairs her most experienced player, Hull, with Europe’s highest ranked rookie. Stanford also sends out Coughlin, who has never lost a Solheim Cup match, and Zhang, who won all four of her matches in 2024.

How the Solheim Cup Format Works
- Foursomes (alternate shot): two players share one ball. Four matches each morning on Friday and Saturday.
- Fourball (better ball): each player plays her own ball and the lower score counts. Four matches each afternoon.
- Singles: one against one. All 12 players on each side play on Sunday.
Every match is worth one point, or a half each if halved. Eight players per team play in each team session, so four sit out. Over three days that makes 28 points.
Points needed to win
Europe need 14.5 points to win the Cup back. The United States, as holders, keep it with 14. The USA lead the series 11 wins to 7 with one tie, the 14 all result at Finca Cortesín in 2023 that let Europe retain.
