Twenty Solheim Cup venues have been chosen since 1990, and no course has hosted twice. Eight countries have held it, with the United States and Europe each hosting ten times.
Bernardus Golf makes the Netherlands the newest host from 11 to 13 September 2026, and Valhalla in Kentucky is next in 2028.

The match alternates sides every two years. The LPGA Tour picks the course when it is played in America. The Ladies European Tour picks it when it is played in Europe.

Valhalla Golf Club, 2028
Valhalla stages the 21st Solheim Cup on 8 to 10 September 2028, dates the LPGA confirmed in October 2025. The Jack Nicklaus design opened in 1986 and has hosted four PGA Championships, in 1996, 2000, 2014 and 2024, plus two Senior PGA Championships and the 2008 Ryder Cup.
It will be the first women’s championship of this scale at the club, and the first LPGA event in Kentucky since the Bluegrass Invitational ended in 1974. Ticket details follow the 2026 match.
2030 host still open
The 2030 match returns to Europe, but no course has been named. England Golf has pushed a bid built around The Grove in Hertfordshire, which needs roughly 20 million pounds of public money inside a package worth about 30 million. England has never staged the event. Nothing is signed, so treat any 2030 venue list you see elsewhere as speculation.

Only three courses have staged both the Solheim Cup and the Ryder Cup. Valhalla becomes the fourth in 2028.

Bernardus Golf, the 2026 Host
- Where: Cromvoirt, North Brabant, near ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the south of the Netherlands
- Design: Kyle Phillips heathland layout, opened in 2018
- Card: par 72, close to 6,800 metres from the back tees. No Solheim Cup setup yardage has been published
- Track record: hosted the Dutch Open from 2021 to 2023
- Dates: 11 to 13 September 2026, the 20th Solheim Cup
This is the first Solheim Cup held in the Netherlands and the country’s first golf match of this scale. Bernardus also stages the PING Junior Solheim Cup on 7 and 8 September, the first time the junior event shares a course with the senior one in the same week.

Solheim Cup Venue Records
- Biggest crowd: Inverness Club in 2021 drew more than 130,000 fans, still the event record.
- Biggest European crowd: Gleneagles in 2019 topped 90,000, reported at the time as the best attended women’s golf event ever staged in the UK.
- Widest margin: Colorado Golf Club in 2013, where Europe won 18 to 10.
- Only tie: Finca Cortesín in 2023, 14 to 14, with Europe retaining the trophy.
- Home advantage: the host side has won 13 of the 19 completed editions.
- Toughest trip: the United States has won only three of nine visits to Europe, at St Pierre in 1996, Halmstad in 2007 and St. Leon-Rot in 2015.
- Shortest match: Lake Nona in 1990 was played over 16 points, rising to 18 at Dalmahoy and 20 at The Greenbrier. Every venue since 2002 has used the current 28 point format.
How Solheim Cup Venues Are Chosen
Hosting is split by continent. The LPGA Tour selects American courses, the Ladies European Tour selects European ones, and the two swap every two years. Commercial rights for the 2030 edition sit with IMG.
Money decides most European bids. A host needs a course that can take large galleries, hotel capacity nearby and a funding package worth tens of millions. That is why the European rota has grown slowly, from Scotland and Wales in the early years to Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Spain and now the Netherlands.
