Twenty Solheim Cup venues have been used since 1990, and no course has hosted twice. The match alternates between the United States and Europe, and eight countries have staged it. Bernardus Golf makes the Netherlands the newest, and Valhalla in Kentucky is next in 2028.

Valhalla will stage the 21st Solheim Cup. It has hosted the PGA Championship four times, most recently in 2024 when Xander Schauffele won his first major, and the Ryder Cup in 2008. This will be its first major women’s event.
It also returns the LPGA Tour to Kentucky for the first time in more than 50 years.

Only three Solheim Cup venues have also staged a Ryder Cup. Valhalla becomes the fourth in 2028.

Bernardus Golf, the 2026 Host
Bernardus Golf sits in Cromvoirt, North Brabant, in the south of the Netherlands. It was designed by Kyle Phillips and plays to a par of 72.
This is the first Solheim Cup staged in the Netherlands and the first anywhere in the country’s history at this level. It is also the first venue to host the PING Junior Solheim Cup in the same week, with the juniors playing on 7 and 8 September before the professionals arrive.
Adding a new country every few cycles is deliberate. Solheim Cup venues have moved steadily east and south across Europe, from Scotland and Wales in the early years to Sweden, Ireland, Germany, Spain and now the Netherlands, which is how the event grows an audience beyond the British Isles.
