This privacy policy explains what SolheimCupGolf.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: you can read every page without giving us anything. We run Google ads and basic analytics, both of which use cookies. We never sell your data.

What We Collect
- If you use the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. We use them to reply and nothing else.
- Automatically: our host records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser, and the page you asked for.
- Through cookies: analytics and advertising data, explained below.
We do not collect payment details, ID numbers or precise location. This site sells nothing, takes no payments and has no visitor accounts.

Some outbound links, mostly to streaming services, are affiliate links. If you click one and subscribe, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The merchant sets its own tracking cookie, not us, and we never receive your name or payment details.
Who We Share With
We do not sell personal information. Data reaches these companies only because they provide a service the site needs: our hosting provider, Google (ads and analytics), Microsoft (analytics), and spam filtering. Affiliate merchants only learn that a visitor came from this site.
These providers process data in the United States and elsewhere, using safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How Long We Keep It
- Contact form messages: as long as needed to answer you, normally no more than 24 months.
- Server logs: a short rolling window set by our host.
- Analytics data: deleted automatically by Google at the end of the retention period set on the property.
- Advertising cookies: up to 13 months in the EEA and the UK.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. In the UK and the EEA you can also complain to your data protection authority.
In California and other US states with privacy laws, you can opt out of targeted advertising and of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell data for money. To opt out of ad targeting, use the Google and industry links above.

Children
This site is for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13, or under 16 where that higher age applies. If a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Security and Breaches
The site runs over HTTPS, admin access is limited, and software is kept updated. No site can promise perfect security, so we collect as little as possible in the first place.
If a breach happens we will fix the cause, notify the relevant authority where the law requires it, which under the UK and EU GDPR is within 72 hours, and tell affected people directly if the risk to them is high.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We update this page when the site, a provider or the law changes. The effective date at the top and the last updated line at the bottom tell you which version you are reading. Anything that materially affects you will be made clear, not slipped in.
